Zack and other staff from Foundation Specialists completed a repair in our poured concrete basement wall. Everything was done in good order. The only reason I am not checking the Good Value box is that the work was just completed this morning and we need some time to go by to know for sure that it is preventing any water leakage at the crack that was in the foundation. Zack sounds very confident and the work looks good to us, but we are not experts in this area. But Zack was very helpful at explaining things, the work went quickly, and the clean-up was great.

The people that came to work- Matthew, John, Jason, and Jacob were extremely professional, did their jobs quickly, accurately, and neatly. The job site was all cleaned up when they left. They kept me informed every step of the way. If every business in America was run like this, we would be in better shape. every single employee was professional- From Mike Remar to the guys hauling stones. A supervisor drove over (to Rockford) and made sure everything was going well. Can't think of a way to write a better recommendation. They also educated me about retaining walls and saved me a bunch of money and headache. I am confidant that if I have a sump pump related problem, they will continue their great customer service long after today.

They did an excellent job, especially the sales person Mike on dumbing things down so I could even understand! The construction team had a hick up with one of their machines, so they had to finish the next day, but they communicated with us the whole way. Foundation Specialist has employed some truly talent and one of those people is "Mike Tovar". This is a follow up testimonial to the exceptional professionalism of Mike Tovar, the specialist who come out last fall to inspect our leaking foundation in two rooms. I can't say enough good things about this man but the few immediate description that come mind are: exceptionally knowledgeable, honest, direct, and empathetic. Last fall Mike wrote up a $5000 estimate to address two leaking rooms in the basement if we wanted the work done immediately but he recommended that we address some gutter adjustments first to see if that might save us some money. We had a second estimate from a competitor who made no attempt to advise us to address the gutters/roof overhang/landscape. Instead, the competitor tried to up-sell and recommended the whole house be waterproofed for $15,000; and the rest of the house never leaked before for over 10 years. The competitor wanted $10,000 to do the same amount of work as Foundation Specialist ( just the 2 rooms ). We followed Mr. Tovar's recommendation to extend the gutters first and was able to resolve the water intrusion in one room. Mike was already $5,000 less than his competitor and following his free advise, he was about to save us even more by having to address one of the two rooms only. We reached out to Mike the following spring to give us an up-dated estimate. Upon arriving to our door, he independently took note of the gutter extensions. When I brought him to the area of the room where we still had water intrusion, his exact words when he saw the problem were " something is not wright here ". He did some diagnostic test of running the outside faucet, then running the kitchen faucet and deduced the problem was a broken main drain pipe that was then leaking back into the basement. Just to prove how talented Mike is, we had the same main drain pipe routed out six months earlier and asked the plumber if the main drain pipe was leaking because the water coming into the basement was almost underneath the pipe. The plumber at the time did do the same tests as Mike did but was not able to produce the same results at that time. I asked the plumber no less than four times if it could a broken main drain line and he was for certain it was not. I even asked him to look one last time before he drove away and he still was sure that it was not the main drain pipe. I think I annoyed the plumber but even I suspected the main drain line. Mike could have easily lied to secure the job and there would have been now way we would have ever figured it out because his work would have hidden and masked the leaking main drain line. Eventually the main drain line will either collapse completely or fill up completely with soil and we would have paid for 2 separate jobs. Mike said we would have to hire an excavator. The excavator quote was only $2750 I felt horrible for asking Mike to come out twice to our house and neither time did we employ him. I offered him some cash for his time and for saving us so much money but he refused my offer. Mike is compassionate and empathetic because he gave us free advice to try to save us some money. Mike is exceptionally knowledgeable because he figured out the plumbing problem that the the plumber couldn't. Mike is honest because he refused to charge us unnecessary work. Mike is professional because as busy as he is all the time, he still came out a second time to look at our problem. I am extremely impressed with Mike Tovar. I am saddened that I could not hire Mike to do my drain pipe problem because I know if could have, he would have done it wright the first time and the cheapest price.

I was first introduced to Foundation Specialist by Mike Tovar whom gave me an honest quote that was even a little lower than the other competitors with out me even telling him their given quotes. I wasn't pitched with the "buy now get 10% off" pricing strategy pitch that the others threw at me and the price was still a tad lower than the others. Andy, Zach, Mike and Dre all did a great job encapsulating my crawl space. They were able to complete my 1100 sq. ft. crawl space within a days work. I was informed of what was all completed and Andy even installed a drainage system for my furnace condensate pipe. If I ever need any any other work completed related to Foundation Specialist services, I will definitely call them again.

My husband and I were considering putting an offer on a small home across from a small lake. The offer would be pending any inspections. I sought out a foundation specialist and was FORTUNATE to talk to a mechanical engineer who specialized in foundations when I called Foundation Specialist. Mike from Foundation Specialist thoroughly explained to me all the things that he would check to see if the foundation of the house was sound, and if it needed repair, what it would cost. Mike Tovar is the MAN! I live in a home with a crawl space and had a company come out that provide their own patented "BASEMENT SYSTEMS" to give me an estimate. $35,000!!!! They told me I had sheared blocks and it was going to cave in if we did not reinforce them with piles. Not only did they try to use scare tactics to get the sale but they also tried to sell me a product that I did not need. After Mike crawled down there and did his assessment he showed me the pictures he took about the area they said was going to cave in. He explained to me that it did have separation in a block or two and it should be addressed, but not with piles, with a simple floor jack to re-support the beams that had settled a bit. He not only saved me from digging up my foundation with a costly repair, but he explained how I could do it myself and save THOUSANDS OF $$$. He did confirm the need for a new vapor barrier that would cost a little over ten grand. I gave him a deposit and thanked him for saving me $25,000 and not selling me a system that I did not need. After some minor but persistent flooding from hydraulic pressure in the spring of 2020 I sought out pricing for interior basement drain systems. We had a larger job requiring almost 300' of drain line and two sumps and I opted to add a wall liner for the finished half. I obtained several prices and Foundation Specialist had competitive, clear and detailed pricing. There are several collection systems in the market I wanted a system with rigid round drain pipe. I had to do a lot of tear-out and erect some temporary walls to get ready for the project as the scope affected a load bearing wall. When the time came, Andy's crew assigned to our job was experienced and professional. They protected equipment in the basement and put down mats and plastic where they had to travel through the house and cleaned up at the end. The job took four days and was started and completed as-scheduled with no extra charges at the end. I'm looking forward to the peace of mind of not having to worry about flooding during the wet years.

Timely service. Arrived the day and time they had scheduled with me. I loved that the crew called 15 minutes prior to their arrival each day. The service crew found a few concerns in our basement that needed attention in addition to the issues the original sales inspector found. During a home inspection, I found out one of my basement walls was slightly bowed in and needed to be repaired. After hearing the cost I was hesitant, but I'm thankful I chose this company to do the repair! The installed carbon fiber straps and sealed the cracks in the wall. We had them install a full perimeter drainage system in our basement as we were taking on tons of ground water with the very wet spring meltdown / rain, and everything went smoothly from the quoting to the last day of the job. I just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know how much we appreciated you fitting us in so quickly to waterproof our basement. The flooding of the fully furnished parts of our basement was devastating . We were so stressed out and angry while getting everything out of those rooms, ripping up carpet and padding along with some drywall while my husband and I were both still working full time. The fact that we had a terrible experience with the company that put in the egress window and them not only stating they had nothing to do with it I was treated terribly by the worker they sent out to access the damage and PROVE they were not at fault. I had a sewer water backup reaching 8 inches in the finished basement of my 90 year old home. My contents were destroyed and the basement had to be gutted. I was obviously very concerned about the integrity of my home's foundation, but having gone through some difficult health hurdles with my children, I was more concerned about further threat to my family's health if bacteria and mold were to grow. I asked around for referals, and an overwhelming majority of my friends recommended Foundation Specialist LLC. My appointment was set quickly, and my consultation was professional and thorough. I cannot say enough how satisfied I am with the integrity of this company! The work was done quickly and efficiently. All of my questions were answered. There were no hidden fees or additional costs beyond my initial quote. It was a seamless process! I've since had the basement refinished and entertain often. There have been many storms including severe flooding in the area, and I haven't gotten a drop of water in my basement. The greatest result is that my children haven't been sick at all since I hired Foundation Specialist LLC. I would hire them again, but I won't ever have to! I highly recommend this company.

We have had water come on our downstairs bedroom since we bought our house 25 years ago. We had this company install a drainage system by digging inside, through the concrete and installing a sump pump. |They were very professional, prompt, competitive price. They had to come back after the ground thawed to bury the drain, and they did a really nice job with that too. Hard to tell if it was a success yet, but dry so far!!!

I had water coming in through a wall in my basement. It was causing one of my foundation walls to cave in. The inspector from Foundation Specialist came to my home and preform a foundation inspection. Set up his laser to determine the amount of movement in my walls and identified the cause of my water problem. He recommended a waterproofing drain system and anchors to fix my basement problems. I had a few other estimates and felt the most comfortable and thought they had a fair price.

The Foundation Specialist installation team came a few weeks later. The job foreman was very nice, professional and answered all my questions throughout the installation process.
